On the night of March 15th, 2011, I broke down crying in front of my PC.
A few minutes later, I wrote a farewell note on RPF, the forums that used to be “home on the net” prior to having my own website or twitter account. I explained:
Some 20 years ago we in the Muslim world were bombarded with propaganda to the effect that the West was out to get us. There’s a huge crusade being planned against us, and every single American, British, French etc. citizen is complicit in it.
I've been known to find, translate, and subtitle videos pertaining to the Arab Spring, especially those that raise awareness, and bring a personal message from the Arab world to non-Arabic speakers. Anyone who knows Arabic will quickly notice that I do not give a literal translation, and I'm writing this article to explain why.
Note: I originally wrote this a few minutes after receiving the news, on the morning of May 2nd.
As Obama declares Bin Laden's death, the US media are having a field day. I'm writing this today to say what it means to us as Muslims who have lived through this turbulent, pivotal phase of our history.
To a Muslim, assessing the life of a man like Bin Laden is difficult. There are two Bin Ladens that we knew. The first was a devout Muslim who called for resistance against occupation. The second was a terrorist who called for violence against innocent people based on flimsy & contrived scriptural evidence.
This is translated from a little piece written by Najah Boukai on Facebook
The conspiracy is now revealed and more details are surfacing. Several terrorists were arrested including Iraqi women snipers who were targetting civilians; as well as Lebanese, Jordanian, and Palestinian elements.

At the moment there seems to be a broad consensus that NATO is doing too little too late. Besides speculations, the plug in NATO's action seems to be located in Turkey. So what is going on in Turkey? Why are the Turks blocking for more NATO attacks? I decided to look into the matter and try to find an answer.
